I’m a writer by profession. I used to work in advertising as a copywriter but I soon realized you couldn’t actually drink in office and none of the men looked like Jon Hamm from Mad Men, so I quit. Then I started writing for different blogs and websites, and quite enjoyed it. I then decided to launch my own platform, ‘Real Girl’. Honestly, there’s been no looking back since.

Why ‘Real Girl’?

Conceptualised in 2015, this blog is my passion project and very close to my heart.

A writer by profession, I wanted my own platform to talk about the things no one was really talking about.

I believe as a culture we still have a long way to go when it comes to normalizing various aspects of an Indian woman’s life but we have made strides in the past few years.

Today, as the world naturally veers towards ‘Real’, I feel so darn proud. I continue to champion the cause here and on my two podcasts ‘Real Talk With Smriti Notani’ and ‘Keeping It Real With Smriti Notani’ on Jio Saavn.
