Very happy to announce my new podcast show to you. It’s been 2 years in the making and it feels surreal that I finally get to talk about it. A JioSaavn Original, my new show is an extension of my brand and blog ‘Real Girl’. I have always wanted to encourage real, raw, authentic, and honest conversations and I’m happy to have gotten the perfect platform to explore that. I think that as women we are conditioned since the time we are little to either be silent or then be well behaved and ‘say the right thing’ I wanted to have a space on the internet where we can talk about whatever we want to talk about, without having to worry about how we come across! In this season, I have some amazing, empowered women joining me in my quest to keep it real. Presenting ‘Keeping It Real With Smriti Notani’, only on Jio Saavn. 🙂
Needless to say, starting my first podcast ‘Real Talk With Smriti Notani’ was what sowed the seeds for this show. The response that podcast got was unprecedented! In it, I talk about various issues that affect the lives of Indian women and it’s mostly monologue format – except a few episodes I have recorded with friends and family. That podcast gave me the confidence to think bigger and to explore my opportunities as a digital creator. You can call it a major stepping stone in my podcasting journey. Don’t worry, it still exists and will always continue to. I have amassed over 100,000 listens on that podcast and I don’t see myself abandoning it anytime soon (more like ever).
