So guys, I slept for a few hours and when I woke up 2016 was over! Okay fiiine, I’m exaggerating but the truth is that 2016 did kind of fly by. And this month (or last month) I didn’t do a favourites post so instead I’m going to be doing a series on the best of 2016 in different categories. Let’s start with skin products, because why not? These are the things my skin has been using and loving all this year. 🙂
Hedonista Face Dew

Cetaphil Face Wash
This was recommended by my dermatologist and I totally swear by it. It’s really gentle on the skin and is great if you have sensitive skin like mine. Pssst – if it helps you, I hear lots of celebrities swear by it too. #JustSaying
The Body Shop Lip Balm in Watermelon
I have chapped lips through the whole damn year, so I don’t leave home without lip balm. Needless to say this one from The Body Shop is really good quality, and the fragrance is just divine!
Face Souffle by Hedonista
I’ve raved about this properly before, but it”s been my most spa like (at home) indulgence of the year! There was no way I could leave it out of this list.
Fabindia Under Eye Gel
Okay, if you are about to point out that I evidently have dark circles – don’t be rude! I bought this awesome organic aloe vera gel from FabIndia (ordered on Nykaa) and I feel like it’s helping. I just wish I remembered to use this before I sleep every night!
Emolene Moisturizer
I was recommended this awesome product by fabulous makeup artist Minelli Coelho and I’ve been using it for the past few months. It’s the perfect way to hydrate and soften your skin before you apply any makeup. It’s water based and hence it’s super lightweight (which is a good thing, I’m told.) Best part? Easily available at any chemist!
Forrest Essentials Body Lotion
OMG! This product I’m in love with. If you’ve always wanted to ‘feel rich’, you need to just carry this bottle around with you. The fragrance is divine and it instantly transports you to some sort of palatial Mughal Gardens. The texture is super creamy and rich and you will guaranteed feel pampered after applying! *Pure friggin’ indulgence*
The Body Shop Body Lotion
I know what you’re thinking – what’s this sudden obsession with lotion?! Let me explain, I feel like I’m finally growing into the kind of woman who likes her skin to be soft and faintly smelling of exotic things like Madagascar Vanilla Flower, for instance. Besides, not like I use all these products every day. It’s just stuff I’ve enjoyed using on my skin this year! 🙂
Lakme Overnight Mask
This one’s from the Lakme Abolute range and I love it. I have patiently and happily used this every night for almost a year. It just feels very refreshing and smells divine (and I’m hoping that when you apply this, little elves come and paint your face with fairy dust at night, or some such) 😛
Maybelline Makeup Remover
Last but not the least, I cannot forget to include the only product that I legit use every single day – the Maybelline Clean Express makeup remover. It works like a charm and is gentle on your skin. You don’t need copious amounts and you absolutely don’t need to rub your skin till it’s red. Besides, it is pocket friendly and the packaging is travel friendly. Total win!
