New Year, New Me?

Hi loves,

For a while now I’ve been debating what my first post on the blog should be in the new year. I spent so much time thinking about it, that it began to seem like a Herculean task to me. I wanted it to be special, funny, and real – for it to stay true to brand of course. So I thought about a million listicle ideas, like 10 Resolutions We All Need in 2017, and 10 Things We Should Leave Behind in 2016 but we all know that shit isn’t here to stay. Come February we would have all forgotten bout these ‘resolutions’, so I’m like ‘Nahhhh bruh!’, let’s leave that to the amateurs. I wrote something on New Years and that’s the only thing I believe in and wish for all of us. The rest as they say, is hogwash.

There ain’t no ‘new year, new me’ stuff happening here so if you were looking forward to that, I’m sorry to disappoint. I intend on keeping it hella real in 2017 too, even though I feel like not everybody enjoys that. But there are tons of other bloggers out there and you can follow them for what they bring to the table. I for one, will always bring a roaring appetite and a slew of inappropriate jokes to the table. I’ll always garnish with some pretty deep real talk and I’ll throw in some travel stories and beauty + food reviews. Let me know if you’d still like to eat with me? (When did this post become about food?!)

Happy New Year everyone. I hope the Real Girl Fam keeps growing. Thank you for all your support last year and I hope I can count on it this year. This isn’t my mission alone. Let’s continue to keep it real together! Waitaminute – is that a resolution? Whoops! Looks like I made one after all. 😉
