May I show you all the things I’ve been loving?!
- Maybelline Extra Dark Kajal
This one is a life changer, girls. I actually bought this as soon as it launched and loved it instantly. But I only realized its true value when it got over and I had to go back to using my regular kajal (the yellow colossal one). This one really stays on longer in comparison and gives that jet black kohl look which suits us Indian girls so much. Best part? You can use it instead of eyeliner on the top lid too and it won’t smudge off for hours.
- Pink ‘Real Girl’ Diary
I love stationary! I almost have no control in a stationary shop. Like, I have to have pens in all colours and fancy pencils and quirky journals. Nothing makes me happier and more motivated to work than having preppy stationary around me. When I saw this diary at Cheap Jack (Bandra, Bombay) I got super excited because not only is it in the Real Girl signature colour, but it also kinda matches the doodle style on the header of the blog? Don’t you think?
- Pretty Bin
One of my greatest joys in the last year has been decorating my home. Of course I get carried away once in a while and decide that my hall just cannot do without this lazer cut plastic storage box/dustbin in a pastel colour. (PS: So far, I’ve only chucked a couple of old flyers/receipts in it. It’s too pretty to throw actual waste in; don’t you think?)
- Matching Holders
I am just now realizing that I have an ability to justify all sorts of purchases and this whole Favourites post is basically about that. So I won’t give you an explanation now. Just see these multipurpose metal holders I bought. Nice, na?
Oh, I know they match the dustbin. (I have problems).
- Sunfeast Oat Cookies
Much like interior decoration, even grocery shopping is new to my life. I recently picked up these Sunfeast Oat cookies and I’m kind of hooked. I picked up the ones with chocolate in them (I think the other flavours were oat and raisin, and oat and almond). Glad I tried these out because they are delish and light at the same time. Please tell me these are healthy or else I’m in big trouble.
- Episodes – TV Show
I have obviously been living under a rock because I just now discovered this show. That’s right, the one with Matt LeBlanc. The writing is great, the concept is unique, and it’s got Joey! Well he’s not Joey in this, but he’s still adorable. It’s the show where you realize there’s Joey-adorable and then there’s Matt-adorable. I’m just about finishing season two and already feeling jittery as only four seasons already exist. Anyway, catch it before season 5 airs!
- Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – TV Show
This Netflix original is another show I’ve been loving but I was hesitant to put it on my list of faves. Two reasons; I don’t want to come across like watching shows is all I do, and I’m not sure if you guys will like this show at all. But hey, you know I like to keep it real so obvs I had to tell you all about it. I feel like the humour is kind of quirky and kooky but it grows on you. Don’t judge it in the first 3 episodes – that would be my advice. By the way, did I mention it’s been created by Tina Fey and has Jon Hamm (Don Draper from Mad Men) in it!?
- Retro Choker
So I’ve been seeing that chokers are back in fashion and at first I turned up my nose at the trend. But just like any good millennial I was reassured that they were ‘cool’ by all sorts of blogs, magazines, and celebrities. And then, of course I wanted one! The good thing is I looked online and found this one for just about Rs 250 on Amazon and ordered it right away! I’m super happy with it because it was cheap (yup, I’m still Sindhi) and it actually does look kind of cool. I must mention at this point – in case you guys are planning to order it – the quality isn’t the best which was fine with me as I very well knew I’d wear this only a few times at best.
