I’m a total summer baby! I love it when the sun gleams through the windows and children play in the street. I love swimming, and sunglasses, and mangoes. And floral dresses, too. You get the whole sunny picture, don’t you? 🙂
At the fag end of this glorious season, I’m just doing a flashback of summer 2016 A.K.A all the times I summered harder than you!
1.The time I DIY’d my way to fashionablehood (yes, I made up that word). Apparently, the pom pom trend is really in and everyone’s adding these cute accessories to their wardrobe. I chose to do it through this Kolhapuri Chappal DIY and I think it turned out quite funky! What say? I was stoked when POPxo featured it. 🙂
PS: Let me know if you want me to take you through the DIY process.

2. The time I was loving all these flavoured yogurts.
What an awesome alternative to having ice cream (way lesser calories too!) I love these two by Danone and I also buy the ones that are by Nestle. Apart from these two flavours, I love blueberry! Perfect summer snacking.

3. The time I went for a Staycation to The Retreat, at Madh Island, Mumbai. And felt fancy AF.

Of course IÂ clicked a gazillion pictures! It was beautiful, and relaxing, and such a great option if you can’t make it all the way to Goa.

4. The time my friend was getting married and it was a poolside mehendi so I brought out the floral lehenga skirt and floral glares. Not to mention the fuss free make up, bright pout, and easy breezy curls.

5. Or the time I was majorly into experimenting with glares and went bold with these blue-purple reflector ones from Forever 21.

6. The time I took my love for blogs and coffee further and worked from Starbucks. FYI, my iced vanilla late was what dreams are made of.

7. The time I visited this awesome, cutesy restaurant with a Parisian vibe called La Plaisir in Pune for brunch and gorged on the cheese muffin and fresh virgin mojito.

8. And while on that topic; the time I finally figured the answer to “When life gives you lemons…”
It’s “make Mojitos”, in case you were wondering! (Psst, this one had alcohol)
9. When I gathered my walking shoes, yoga mat, swimming goggles, and MI band to give you the impression that I’m really into fitness. Also, I used them little bit. As and when. Intermittently. *Shy face*

10. The time I figured I could order home (from some place called Apple-a-day) Â a neatly packaged large bowl of fruits and fresh fruit juice and I was really excited about it. Summer on a platter, no?

Sorry to disappoint you if you were expecting a performance on Honey Singh’s blue hai paani paani song. Maybe next summer? Tell me what you did that was so distinctly summer! I’d love to know. For now, let’s bid goodbye to our seasonal friend – thunderous applause and all. 🙂
