Looks like I took this a little too seriously and snoozed way past my deadline. Forgive the slight delay as I embark upon what has become kind of a favourite monthly ritual; introducing you to the things I used and loved all last month!
- Who Moved My Cheese?
If you know me you’ll know I have a total weakness for melted cheese. As I’ve grown older though, I’ve developed a pallete for different kinds of cheese. Parmesan is one amongst them. If you’re anything like me and only semi adulting in life, half-assing your way in the kitchen, then you need this cheese too! It just adds such a nice flavour to everything, especially the stuff that’s easy to make – like eggs, pasta, etc. I’m already on my second bottle and I’m certain I’ll have to replenish that soon. It’s available easily at supermarkets and shops that house foreign products. This particular one is by Kraft. Will keep buying that until they start to make Sharam Naam Ki Cheese. Because, then I will have to switch loyalties. Okay? Okay!

2. Golden Girl
I have been looking for these glitter wala shoes EVERYWHERE! In fact, saw similar ones online. Found them too expensive so like any middle class person I added them to the cart and prayed for a sale to hit. Incidentally, that’s exactly what happened (Thanks Ganpatiji), but they arrived and were a size too large. I sent them back and ordered a smaller size. This arrived two weeks late. I haven’t waited so much for anything in my life – this is probably totally untrue but I like to be dramatic.
Unfortunately when they reached I realized they are super uncomfortable. *Sigh* Just when I was wondering what to do – luckily, same day I spotted these near identical ones at Westside and took the executive decision to pick them up. I then proceeded to return those other ones. This wasn’t a fun story and I’m sorry you had to read it. But you know, aise hi pyaar badta hai and all.
Also, karma must be working in e-commerce because the first time I wore these I got the worst shoe bite ever. But, I love them too much to give up. I’m going to try again. Band-aids were invented for this very day people.

3. Getting Scentimental
This one is courtesy those awesome people who come from abroad and get you something besides Toblerone. (No offence, Toblerone). I had never tried Burberry perfumes before and someone gifted me this last year actually. I didn’t really take it to initially because I was being faithful to the perfumes I was already using. This month, I found myself scent-less and took to this as a last minute resort. I’ve got to say it’s grown on me though. Burberry Touch For Women s a nice, casual, everyday-kind of scent that is not overpowering yet lasts the whole day. It’s not too sweet, nor is it too manly or musky – it’s just a good, clean, fresh scent. Check it out if that’s the thing you are looking for. PS: I like the cork effect on the little bottle cover. I think I’m inclined to hoarding it (Shh, don’t tell the fam!)

4. The Big Bangs Theory
I absolutely detest what humid weather does to my hair. I love Monica Geller from friends but I don’t particularly want to look like her from the Barbados episode!

I was more than grateful to discover something that actually helps tame my mane. Yep, the B Blunt Anti Frizz leave in cream is kind of a God sent. You can use it regularly, it won’t damage your hair and it definitely helps it retain it’s texture. It’s also easily available everywhere. I don’t get addicted to beauty/hair products easily but this one’s a keeper! Sings *Hair Necessity* from Jungle Book…

5. Cocktail Hour
One of my favourite things in the whole wide world is discovering new and delicious cocktails. I recently went to Chili’s in Powai and I was instantly smitten by their drinks menu. Not only did they have a large variety but I loved what I ordered. I’m not even a Vodka fan but I was feeling experimental and went for it. I ordered a Sweet and Spicy Peach Cooler (Smirnoff mixed with peach syrup garnished with peach slices and jalapenos). OH-MY-GOD. It was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy, and so bloody refreshing! I just need to have more of this (not that I stopped at one that day). But it has *got* to be my favourite cocktail of the month! Bee tee dubs, should I make that a thing?

That’s all for this month fraands. Have an awesome October. See you soon with next month’s favourites! Tell me what you’ve been loving lately. I’m snoopy and I want to know! Did we twin on anything? TELL MEEEEE!
Okay, don’t get scared.
Here take, *Mwah*
